How Often to Exfoliate Your Body Skin

Exfoliating helps to soften and smooth your skin.  Best of all, it only takes a few minutes to exfoliate your entire body. Try to exfoliate about twice a week but don’t over do it because over exfoliate can dry and irritate your skin.

Exfoliating your body is skin very simple. You can either moisten your sponge, washcloth, or loofahs, then soap it up and work it into a lather or rub an exfoliating soap onto dampen hands and work it into a lather. Starting at the bottom of your feet, in circular motion, gently move upward and stopping at the neck.

Bath Sponge

Because your body skin is hardier and thicker than your facial skin, you can use a more harsh abrasive. You can use Loofahs, dry brushes, bath salts, sea sponges, washcloth, body scrubs, silk mitt, or exfoliating soaps to exfoliate your body skin(from the neck down).

Keep in mind that you can’t sterilize bath sponge. Once you use them, soap residue, dead skin, and bacteria buildup will remain in your sponge. So after each use it’s important to wash and dry your bath sponge well. It will need to be replaced very often (at least once every 2 months).
